During this transition, purchases with EBT cards will not be available on
Monday, September 16.
Customers are urged to plan ahead and complete food purchases BEFORE September 16.
To assist households receiving benefits between September 11-15, benefits are scheduled to be available on September 10 by 1pm.
Normal EBT purchases will resume the evening of September 16.
The switch is expected to save the state $21 million over the next three years
Payment is made to the retailer through an ACH settlement process at the end of the business day. Most states’ online EBT systems are interoperable through the Quest network, which is sponsored by the Electronic Benefits and Services Council (formerly the EBT Council) of NACHA.
