The Dorothy Lumley Melrose Center for Technology, Innovation & Creativity is open to the public since yesterday Saturday, February 8 with a ribbon cutting at noon. The 26,000-square-foot digital technology center is located on the second floor of the Orlando Public Library.

In addition to a large interactive media wall, it offers sound, video and photography studios along with flight simulators and a fab lab with 3D printers. There are also driving simulators and construction simulators that allow workers to gain skills in the building trades.

Schedule of Booking Fees

The Melrose Center welcomes you and your imagination. We ask that all new users participate in a General Orientation for an overview of the Center’s services and terms of use. Reservations can be made online or by calling 407.835.7323. A card is not required to attend an orientation.

Most services are free to Orange County Library District  cardholders and are available at a reasonable charge for those residing outside  of the service area. Many of the Center’s services need to be booked in  advance. Prior to booking a studio, we ask that users participate in a  studio-specific orientation and successfully complete a brief assessment.  Please note that a zero balance on your library card account is required in  order to book studios or equipment.

For more information about booking a studio please call 407.835.7323.
