Odyssey of the Mind winners head to UCF


UCF to host April 12 tournament

Odyssey is a nonprofit, international problem-solving program that encourages creative thinking among the young. Ninety-seven team, creative problem-solving opportunities for students from kindergarten through college. Through solving open-ended problems, students develop creative thinking skills that can be applied to real-life situations

Odyssey of the Mind started in the United States, created by Dr. C. Samuel Micklus, Professor Emeritus at Rowan University in New Jersey in 1978. Now, this program is international in over 36 countries.

  • Registration: 7:00 – 9:00AM
  • Long-Term Problem Performances: 7:00AM – 5:30PM
  • OMER’s Block Party: 4:00PM – 6:00PM
  • Awards Ceremony Doors Open: 6:15PM
  • Awards Ceremony: 7:00PM
  • World Finalist Team Meeting for Coaches: Immediately following Awards Ceremony
